Hospital-Grade Surgery in a Boutique Setting
Liberty Construction delivered this 2,262 SF oral surgery office buildout for Dr. Ashkan Davary and Dr. Christopher Smith at 21351 Gentry Drive, Suite 115 in Sterling, Virginia, minutes from Dulles Town Center in Loudoun County. Davary & Smith Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center is one of the few oral surgery facilities in Northern Virginia built to NFPA 99 Category 1 hospital anesthesia standards, and the construction scope reflects it: this is a compact suite engineered like a surgical center, wrapped in a boutique interior by Zehra Arif at Z-Dimensional. The practice covers dental implants, All-on-X full-arch rehabilitation, wisdom teeth removal, and IV sedation, and every system behind the walls supports that surgical caseload.
A Compact Plan That Works Like a Surgery Center
The suite organizes around four surgical treatment rooms (TR #2 through #5), with a consult room plumbed and wired as a future fifth treatment room, plus imaging, a sterilization room, a lab, a central hand-wash station, a crash cart alcove, and a recovery nook, supported by a doctors' office, staff lounge with lockers and a stacked washer and dryer, two private restrooms, and an IT closet. Flooring changes with the function of each zone: 32" x 32" polished Piemonte Bone porcelain set stacked with Laticrete Marble Beige grout in the public areas, Patcraft Treeline 5mm luxury vinyl plank in Bare-V2 laid in a brick pattern through the work zones, and, in the surgical rooms, Patcraft Holistic homogeneous sheet vinyl in Calm, heat-welded with coved transitions for a seamless, infection-control-ready surface. TileBar Lines Brass Inlay Black 24" x 24" porcelain set quarter-turn grounds the feature zones, all trimmed with Tarkett-Johnsonite Baseworks 2.5" rubber base in Snow White.
Built to NFPA 99: Gas, Power, and Backup Systems
The mechanical room is the heart of this Loudoun County healthcare construction project. Our team built out a dedicated medical gas plant with nitrous oxide and oxygen manifolds, a separate nitrogen supply, and a WAGD waste anesthetic gas disposal system serving all four operatories, the room-by-room infrastructure NFPA 99 Category 1 demands. Electrical scope ran just as deep: dedicated 208V and 480V panels plus a 10kVA backup battery system, so anesthesia delivery and monitoring never depend on a single power source. Ceilings hold at 9'-0" with drywall cove details and bulkheads painted Sherwin-Williams Iron Ore (SW 7069) against Westhighland White (SW 7566) field walls, with all lighting tuned to 5000K adjustable color temperature across LED recessed cans, hidden architectural LED cove strips, and under-cabinet fixtures at sterilization.
Bringing Davary & Smith to Life
The front of house reads more boutique hotel than dental office construction. The reception desk pairs a Silestone White Zeus polished quartz waterfall countertop with a Chemetal 904 Brushed Light Brass inlay, matching brass floating shelves, an LED-lit toe kick, and Aleyna invisible edge pulls in black, with Silestone Negro Tebas quartz and Formica Luna Sand and Frost solid surface at the clinical casework. TilePoint Yosemite White thin-raked porcelain runs vertically stacked at the feature walls, layered with Jacaranda Oak White rift-cut veneer, Vasari lime plaster, custom wood slat partitions painted Iron Ore, and a Tikamoon Gina cream terrazzo vessel sink under a Kohler matte black faucet in the patient restroom, lit by a dweLED Solaris aged brass pendant and Modern Forms Magic 32" sconces. All doors run 8'-0" with full-lite glass inserts. Liberty Construction is proud to have completed this Sterling, Virginia oral surgeon office, a Northern Virginia medical office buildout where hospital-grade infrastructure and hospitality-grade design share 2,262 square feet.
