Liberty Construction was proud to deliver POSH Smiles in 2025, a brand-new 1,635 SF general and cosmetic dental practice for Dr. Fatemeh Baftechi at One Loudoun in Ashburn, Virginia. As a design-build project, our team handled architecture and construction in-house and partnered with Zehra Arif at Z-Dimensional on the interior design — a collaboration that produced one of the most material-rich dental office buildouts we've completed in Loudoun County.

Where Luxury Meets Purpose

Dr. Baftechi, a Tufts University School of Dental Medicine graduate, set the tone early: her office should feel less like a dental clinic and more like a high-end spa. Every finish in the space is built around that brief. The buildout includes five treatment rooms, a digital imaging suite, sterile and lab areas, a private doctor's office and restroom, a consult room, IT and reception, and a staff lounge with washer/dryer — all under a 9'-0" ceiling. Throughout the suite our crew installed Mannington Commercial Mixed Monolith luxury vinyl tile in Light Mix 101 (18" x 48" planks set in a stacked monolithic pattern), accented in select areas with Queen Beige Marble Cobble Mosaic from The Tile Shop in tumbled finish with Bostik Mobe Pearl grout. The wall base is Tarkett-Johnsonite Millwork Reveal in Snowbound.

A Calm, Curated Experience

The reception desk is the centerpiece. We built it as a custom waterfall in Cambria Berkshire Brass Sculpted quartz, set against a stacked Cle' Lapidary white limestone Cabochon mosaic feature wall, with a Formica Deco Metal brushed brass toe-kick and a hidden LED architectural strip light tucked into a clear channel for an indirect glow. The adjacent logo wall is finished in Meoded Concretta FS concrete plaster in Calm White on a drywall panel furred out 5"–6" so Dr. Baftechi's signage reads as a sculpted, dimensional reveal. Wallcoverings carry the spa-like feel through the rest of the office. Among the thirteen finishes specified across the space, our team installed Lillian August Cork Luxe Retreat in cork espresso and metallic gold, Maya Romanoff hand-painted vinyl in bronze, Wolf Gordon Mylar Moondust in Alloy, Living Ceramics Blanc Statuario Code Gold, and Wall Play Barnacle in gold foil — each tied together with brushed brass and champagne gold metalwork. Custom 1" oak slat panels and Native Metal copper-deposit hex mosaic with gold accents round out the material story.

The Meaning of “Posh”

Lighting was a scope of its own. We installed and wired the CB2 Risette polished champagne crystal flush mount, the Aquitaine pendant in lacquered burnished brass, Kuzco NYC Studio's Soji Round Pendant in aged gold, Savoy House Oberyn wall sconces, and WAC Lighting's Estrella ceiling fixture in bronze, alongside LED 4" square recessed cans and 2x2 / 2x4 direct-indirect fixtures running 4000K throughout. Glass and door scope included full-height Herculite 7' glass doors and a Herculite glass barn door — all set in satin brass channels with matching back-to-back pulls — plus 7'-0" solid panel wood doors painted Sherwin-Williams Rockweed. Plumbing fixtures lean into the brand's gold-and-stone palette: a Trueform Concrete 40" Contempo sink in Linen, the Miseno Cadiz freestanding vanity in Fir Wood Black, Miseno Mia widespread faucets in champagne gold, and Kohler Vibrant Brushed Brass faucets across the back-of-house. Low-voltage and IT scope was handled by DTC, run by Dr. Baftechi's husband Armin Raoufinia, which kept data, network, and treatment-room cabling moving in tight coordination with our trades from rough-in through final trim. POSH Smiles sits at 20365 Exchange Street in One Loudoun, which made coordination with the landlord and tight on-site logistics part of the daily playbook for our Ashburn dental office construction team. We're proud to have built such a finish-heavy commercial tenant improvement for Dr. Baftechi here in Loudoun County, and we look forward to watching her general and cosmetic dentistry practice grow in Northern Virginia.
